Vancouver Area Meet Up?
|The paddle surf community is growing pretty quickly around here in Vancouver, so thought it might be good to start up a discussion on possible times and places for group paddles around the Lower Mainland.
We’re planning on integrating a full on forum system to this site in the coming weeks, but for now post in the comments here with when and where you’re available to meet up!
Cheers!

I’m down. Anytime is good.
Just picked up my SUP today. Does anyone know any good locations around Vancouver seawall to hit up? Also I’m wondering if anyone knows a good place on the seawall I could rent a storage locker.
Hi Jay,
Welcome to the site!
I haven’t checked out the Stanley Park seawall area yet, but went for a pretty good paddle at Kits Beach on Saturday. Was a pretty short trip but the winds were a bit gusty so kept it close to shore and went in around Granville Island.
As for storage, I don’t know of anything directly on the seawall, but maybe try Jericho Sailing Club or if you’re close to Lions’ Gate Bridge, Hollyburn Sailing Club at Ambleside in West Van.
Hope that helps and see ya around!

hey Jay,
I keep mine (my version = an old windsurfer) on the kayak racks at granville island..thru ecomarine if i recall correctly. $35 or so per month.
I store mine at Jericho Sailing Centre, lockers are also available for gear and paddles

Hi There
I am interested in getting started with SUP. I have a ton of experience at sea, sailing large and small boat(windsurfing) and such. I got interested one mornining in Malibu when Laird Hamilton poped past our boat on his paddle board and have been interested ever since. If anyone can point me in the right direction, a few lessons would not go a miss and where I can rent a board, would all be great info. Thanks so much
Cheers
