Anyone paddling in the Whiterock/ Crescent Beach area? I just started in the summers and wondered how many local SUP'ers are out there.

Ive always wanted to go to white rock to paddle. I live down in Burnaby so im kinda far 45-60 minutes away depending on traffic.

    How is the paddling there?

It can be good depending on wind and tides. Have done some summer downwinders from Whiterock to Crecent (1.5+ hour paddle). Take some water with you to re-hydrate. Calm days or downwinder runs are the best. Cross chop and headwinds make it a challenge at times. Check the wind sensors in the area or the whiterock webcam for current conditions and pick your direction of travel if there is a breeze. If you paddle downwind only you'll need to coordinate a vehicle pick-up for a ride back to your starting point or paddle back into the wind.
