Canadian Movie Premier. Friday June 8. Thompson Rivers University Clock Tower Theatre 7 pm.
Proceeds to "Stand Up 4 Tanner". Tanner is a 12 year old Kamloops boy who was an active and energetic child when he was diagnosed with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy at age 5, a degenerative disease that destroys his muscles.
As the disease has progressed over time, he has lost his ability to walk, to run, to play as other children do. And his biggest muscle, his heart, will eventually succumb to the disease. Tanner still loves to be outdoors and enjoying time with family and friends, though now he is confined to his powerchair. Adaptive equipment and sports have been a huge part in getting him out and doing activities that would otherwise not be possible.
Paddle Surfit and Surftech have generously donated a stand up paddle board that will be adapted to allow Tanner to join his family and friends on the water!
Join us in support of Stand Up 4 Tanner at an evening of fun and prizes! Advance tickets $15 contact 250.318.0722 or 250.852.1967.
Please share this post and make a difference in Tanner's life!
