Hi there.

Ocean River Sports has been running SUP courses from our dock side location for 2 years now. Its amazing how it has taken off! We have a full range of Starboard, Laird and Jimmy Styx in our retail department and a broad range of demo baords to use in courses. Every one of our courses this season has been full and we look forward to doing more.

Please submit us as part of the Canadian SUP course suppliers.

just thought I’d let you know that NBS in Winnipeg Manitoba also retails SUP (Naish and Tahoe) and does do regular demo’s and free lessons with rental’s. http://www.nbsapparel.com.

I recently tried the sport at the Outdoor Retailer show and fell in love with it. I work for an event production company in Vancouver and we’re thinking about hosting an event in Vancouver next summer. I know how fast the sport is growing, so what do you think? I would like some feedback before we launch into planning something. Thanks!

Hi Warwick, thanks for that! I wasn’t sure on Easy Rider as they made no mention of lessons on their site, but I now see they have weekly demos, which I’m sure some people will find useful.

In Edmonton, Alberta, Easy Rider also has demo days/lessons/races, etc. They are really big into SUP. http://www.theeasyrider.com/
